Spending hours and hours on
Pinterest gave me lots of ideas, but I realized I needed to actually DO something to justify the fact that I was able to spend an entire day looking at other people's creativity. So I tried to figure out what project to begin with... and I came across this little pin-of-an-idea:
glittered heels.
Here's my own verson...

Such an easy project too - just some Mod Podge and extra fine glitter (I recently bought a set of like 30 bottles of different colors of extra fine glitter from Micheal's that's been dying to get used). You'll want to use a good portion of glitter to really saturate the glue, otherwise it'll take A LOT of coats to really cover the shoe. I didn't want to use up all my glitter (which I certainly didn't anyway) so I used less than I should have. I had to do about 10 coats to fully cover the shoe, which (although easy) was very time consuming, since I let the glue dry about 70% each layer. Lesson learned. Since my heels weren't just getting wear and tear on the actual heel, I decided to just go for it and glitter the entire shoe... and I love it. I have a silver sequined dress that will be perfect with these babies!
